Weekly Worship

Our 9.30am Sunday worship services are varied in format with a mix of contemporary Christian music and hymns. They are live-streamed and available to view online via YouTube later as well for those who are unable to join us in person for any reason. Morning tea and a time of fellowship in the hall follow the service.

June 27-29 is our annual winter weekend at Winda Woppa. Wear warm woolies, go on wild walks and enjoy wonderful food and company. Reserve your spot with Di.

On Tuesday, June 10, we travel by train to Town Hall and walk to the National Maritime Museum at Pyrmont, where there are some exhibitions to enjoy, interspersed with lunch of course. Further details from Jeni.

On Thursdays, May 1, 8, 15 and 22, meet up from 7.15pm via Zoom for explorations of these two pastoral letters from Paul. Although written for a different audience and era, they contain timeless teachings that are just as fresh and relevant today. For the Zoom link, contact Rev Gielie.

On Wednesday, April 9, we visit Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens to view Botanica – the Art of Disguise and Deception, with lunch to follow. Details from Sue and Brian.

On Saturday, March 22, we visit a re-purposed treasure of our harbour, where industry is replaced by recreation, with a fascinating history of past uses. Details from Jeni.

A diverse group of people who enjoy photography, we respond to a monthly theme or topic and present photos for display in the hall. We also meet a few times a year to see exhibitions or hone our skills together.

Additional activities are organised during the year such as church dinners and picnics, a hospitality lunch, retreats and special services, family high tea, Market Day, working bees and so on. Check out the Events tab for details. 

Meeting from 12-2pm in the downstairs youth room during school terms, crafters chat and stitch, knit, crochet or tinker. Learn a new skill, get expert help with something that’s not working or just enjoy the company!

Enjoy a relaxing day out midweek! TOTAL (Transport Outing To A Lunch) meets on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of the second week of the month, and apart from having lunch, we might view an exhibition, savour a scenic journey or explore new environs on foot.

A group of singers and musicians meets each Tuesday or Wednesday evening from 7.30pm. For about an hour, they learn new music to enrich our worship services, polish up our known songs as well as adding extra instruments to the mix. New participants are very welcome.

Usually meeting on the fourth Saturday of the month, Mingles go on bushwalks, visit gardens, meet at a café for breakfast, gather around a firepit, enjoy restaurant meals, have a winter weekend away and more. Adults of all ages are embraced.

Providing a social outlet for older men from the church and community on most Monday mornings, the group chats over morning tea, with wide-ranging topics and points of view explored. 

To empower people with information that’s relevant to them, we hold forums open to everyone, with expert guest speakers and resources available. Topics include aspects of parenting, ageing, housing and technology.

The monthly gatherings give an opportunity for older people to enjoy fellowship and friendship in a social setting. Usually held on the third Saturday of the month, meetings include daytime outings to places of interest using public transport, guest speaker evenings and a mid-winter potluck dinner. New members are very welcome.

Groups meet on selected Thursday evenings (via Zoom) for short series of studies, which are themed around seasons such as Advent, Lent and Pentecost, a book of the Bible or a selected topic.
